“Love the Game” Jewelry Designs with Sports in Mind by Dana Hoiles

I have to admit: I am pretty picky when it comes to my game day attire. I am a firm believer in wearing game day gear that was meant for tailgating and team spirit, and lots of it.

However, there are some lines that I personally draw when it comes to Ravens apparel. I appreciate a bit of sparkle, as long as it is not in the form of rhinestones on a Ravens jersey. There is no place for the color pink in football, unless we are observing Breast Cancer Awareness month. Don’t even get me started on those Ravens platform heels that have circulated the internet (although I have never seen someone admit to purchasing them).

Although I sound like a curmudgeon in regards to womens’ gear, I do appreciate a good piece of jewelry, as any woman does. Enter Dana Hoiles, owner of Sports Jewelry by Dana Hoiles, who caters to all female sports fans with her eclectic line of sports-themed jewelry and clothing. Her tasteful designs complement any game-day outfit, whether you choose to rock your authentic Ray Lewis black alternate jersey or your pink Ray Rice t-shirt.

I first discovered Dana via Twitter, after I had seen a photo of her amazing Home Plate pendant circulating around the internet. After browsing the rest of her site, I fell in love with many of her other pieces, including her purple rhinestone football pendant and her stitched baseball heart, which I actually own. Her motto “Love the Game” resonates in not only her jewelry line, but also her clothing line, which features that signature stitched heart, among other designs. Not to leave the men out of the equation, she also features pieces for men, including tie tacks, cuff links, and “Own the Game” clothing.

If you are looking for that perfect necklace, bracelet or set of earrings to complete your game day ensemble, do yourself a favor and check out Sports Jewelry by Dana Hoiles at www.danahoiles.com.

About Meghan W

Meghan is a South Baltimore Native who spent the first part of her life football team-less due to the impromptu departure of the beloved Colts to Indy. The Orioles last won a World Series 3 days after her birth, so she was born into baseball fandom. While the orange and black hold a special place in her heart, there was a bit of room left for Baltimore’s other birds. Her love for the Ravens developed over the past 10 years, and has gone from a passing cheer to a burning passion. She likes tailgating by 8AM, celebrates Purple Friday year-round, and will choose a Bloody Mary over a Mimosa any day. She is a Towson University graduate who now resides in the ‘Dena with her one year-old daughter. Follow her on Twitter: @qweenofdiamonds
